It's okay to be a bad person.
It's okay to make mistakes.
Lord knows I've made a lot myself; and lord knows I'm not the best person.
A lot of the time I think I'm lying to myself by being nice too,
A lot of the time I think I'm fake, a liar, cruel, heartless, and above all else, unreal.
Unbelievable.
Unloveable.
But that doesn't mean it's all that I am.
You're capable of kindness, right?
You're capable of being friendly; of being a good person, right?
Then that's who you are.
You aren't lying to anyone; you aren't being fake.
You're simply being human.
Humans; they're funny creatures.
They mess up everything and destroy all things good.
They laugh at things they shouldn't, and joke about things that offend people.
They make fun of others, and they bully, harass, and torment.
They hate.
But they also love.
They create and they build.
They become artists; writers; poets; sculptors; animators. They become anything they wish to be and more than that.
They make mistakes, not all of which can be fixed.
They live, laugh, love, and cherish.
They're small; insignificant, even; in this universe.
And yet they all make such an impact on the people they come into the lives of.
You are not your mistakes.
You are not any less of a human.
You are not a mistake.
You are you.
And there is nothing wrong with that.
